OUR STORY

1st Generation Family-Owned Business

Established in 2021, Dairy House Farms began managing our 150 acre site in Ethel, Louisiana with a goal of producing registered livestock that thrive in grass-based management systems.  The Six Principles of Soil Health guide our decisions as we journey through regenerative farming practices to glorify God our Creator through careful land stewardship.

ABOUT DAIRY HOUSE FARMS

Once a thriving grass based dairy from the 1920's through the 1990's, the land was purchased by outside investors and the land was harvested for hay production for almost 20 years and the former milking parlor was converted into a cottage.  Since purchasing the property in 2021, Dairy House Farms upgraded the cottage, installed adaptive grazing fence and water infrastructure, and began Phase 1 of the grazing operation.

GRASS FED, PASTURE-BASED & GMO FREE LIVESTOCK

Our livestock thrive on a year-round grass grazing management system with minimal supplementation.  Rotational and adaptive grazing methodologies allow for adequate grazing pressure followed by appropriate recovery periods, to boost soil health, organic matter, water retention, plant diversity, and drought resiliency.
